You haven’t heard from me in the blogosphere for quite some time now. Apologies for disappearing!
While I’ve been away from this space, I certainly haven’t been idle. I’ve done tons of reading and writing. I’ve gained many new certifications. And I’ve been working hard at taking the steps to continue to grow my business.
Since we last ‘talked’, the world certainly has changed, and I felt it was time for me to get back in touch and comment.
This entire situation seems like a bad dream to me and, I know, to all of you. Yet it’s very real for every single one of us. Every American has been affected in some way by COVID-19. The federal government passed several bills that hopefully has provided needed financial relief to the millions of small and medium-sized businesses that are struggling.
Even with that relief effort and the movements forward by each and every one of us, no one knows exactly how long this will go on or what’s coming in the next few months. This is a crisis beyond anything anyone could have ever predicted. As much as our federal, state, and local officials have done and will continue to do, it will not be enough to help our local businesses survive; that task falls on each of us who
own and lead our companies.
The bottom line is this: If we are to survive and prosper beyond this disaster (and I’m confident we will), we must dust ourselves off, get ready to weather any further coming storm(s), and prepare ourselves and our businesses for what will happen when we get back to some semblance of ‘normal’.
The good news is it can be done—every crisis provides new opportunities for growth. I’m optimistic we will come out of this successfully, and the time to prepare for that success is now!
In the coming weeks, I’ll be posting on a more regular basis. I’ll be sharing insights, tips and tricks on how to further yourself and your business. I’ll be sharing things I’ve learned and things I continue to learn on an almost daily basis. I have old and new ideas on leadership to share. I think you’ll find this of great interest.
